- See notes below for info on accessing the Coalgate BBS for the latest
- version of PmCat PLUS.
-
- PMCAT PLUS files and a few words about this diskette:
-
- PMCATPL.EXE (or PMCPDIST.EXE) is the core program of PmCat+. You may
- rename this file to anything you wish as long as you keep the '.EXE'
- extension.
-
- PMCATPL.OVR (or PMCPDIST.OVR) is essential to the operation of PMCAT and
- MUST be either in your path or in the same directory from which PMCAT+ was
- run. The name of this file MUST NOT BE CHANGED, or PmCat+ will not run.
-
- PMCATPL.DOC is the complete documentation for PmCat+. You should be able
- to PRINT it from the DOS command line or from any utility you use to do
- this sort of operation.
-
- PMLIST.COM - The program I've included for purposes of viewing files is
- actually called R.COM and was provided to me at my request for a public
- domain text viewer. I renamed it to PMLIST.COM solely so you wouldn't see
- this file (r.com) hanging around with no docs and delete it inadvertently
- and then begin to wonder why PMCAT+ no longer functioned! I would
- strongly suggest obtaining a registered copy of either Gil Yoder's ML. ML,
- which has mouse support, is included with the PmCatPLUS distribution
- package by arrangement with Gil Yoder. 'TYPE' no more!
-
- PM-ORDER.FRM is the invoice style order form for PmCat+. If you would
- like a copy of it, please send two copies when you register and I will
- mark one of them PAID and return it to you with the disk(s) you recieve.
-
- ML21.LZH - an archive of "Mel", a mouse lister (can be used without
- a mouse too, that makes use of PmCat PLUS even easier. The registered
- version of this program has some hypertext abilities!
-
- PLEASE NOTE:
-
- I've decided to strip off all the fancy extras from PmCat PLUS and
- offer just the program for evaluation. In evaluating the results for 60
- days after release, it appears the users are not, for the most part,
- interested in the extras I made available (which were the reason for the
- registration increase price).
-
- Registered users will receive a slightly different version (one in
- which the HELP line may be toggled, the Title Screen may be toggled and
- the closing screen message will be absent).
-
-
- COALGATE BBS
-
- (405) 927-2541
-
- 24 hrs 1200/300 (will be 9600 by 2/1/90)
- 8-n-1
-
-
- Additionally, registered users will be able to get access to a special
- area of the Coalgate BBS from which they may obtain a registered copy of
- the very latest version of PmCat PLUS.
-
- The Coalgate BBS is currently only at 1200 baud, but should be up to
- speed at 9600 baud on a USR HST 9600 modem by its official opening date of
- 1 Feb, 1990.
-
- Anyone, registered or not, can access the Coalgate BBS and download
- files on their first visit. The design of the BBS software prohibits
- public messages till after validation (which *can* be done on your first
- call if I happen to be in the neighborhood).
-
- The $25 registration fee will be honored as promised in version 5.0,
- in this, and all succeeding versions.
-
- This new arrangement makes $15 the preferred registration fee. I
- certainly hope it meets with your approval.
-
- Additionally, the Coalgate BBS will serve as a similar home base for
- Gil Yoder's programs, SCRIPTURE, WINDIR, ML, MLX and others which are in
- the works.
