  2.     See notes below for info on accessing the Coalgate BBS for the latest
  3.     version of PmCat PLUS.

  5.     PMCAT PLUS files and a few words about this diskette:
  6.  
  7.     PMCATPL.EXE (or PMCPDIST.EXE) is the core program of PmCat+.  You may
  8.     rename this file to anything you wish as long as you keep the '.EXE'
  9.     extension.
  10.  
  11.     PMCATPL.OVR (or PMCPDIST.OVR) is essential to the operation of PMCAT and
  12.     MUST be either in your path or in the same directory from which PMCAT+ was
  13.     run.  The name of this file MUST NOT BE CHANGED, or PmCat+ will not run.

  15.     PMCATPL.DOC is the complete documentation for PmCat+.  You should be able
  16.     to PRINT it from the DOS command line or from any utility you use to do
  17.     this sort of operation.

  19.     PMLIST.COM - The program I've included for purposes of viewing files is
  20.     actually called R.COM and was provided to me at my request for a public
  21.     domain text viewer.  I renamed it to PMLIST.COM solely so you wouldn't see
  22.     this file (r.com) hanging around with no docs and delete it inadvertently
  23.     and then begin to wonder why PMCAT+ no longer functioned!  I would
  24.     strongly suggest obtaining a registered copy of either Gil Yoder's ML. ML,
  25.     which has mouse support,  is included with the PmCatPLUS distribution
  26.     package by arrangement with Gil Yoder. 'TYPE' no more!

  28.     PM-ORDER.FRM is the invoice style order form for PmCat+.  If you would
  29.     like a copy of it, please send two copies when you register and I will
  30.     mark one of them PAID and return it to you with the disk(s) you recieve.

  32.     ML21.LZH - an archive of "Mel", a mouse lister (can be used without
  33.     a mouse too, that makes use of PmCat PLUS even easier. The registered
  34.     version of this program has some hypertext abilities!

  36.     PLEASE NOTE:

  38.         I've decided to strip off all the fancy extras from PmCat PLUS and
  39.     offer just the program for evaluation.  In evaluating the results for 60
  40.     days after release, it appears the users are not, for the most part,
  41.     interested in the extras I made available (which were the reason for the
  42.     registration increase price).

  44.         Registered users will receive a slightly different version (one in
  45.     which the HELP line may be toggled, the Title Screen may be toggled and
  46.     the closing screen message will be absent).

  57.         Additionally, registered users will be able to get access to a special
  58.     area of the Coalgate BBS from which they may obtain a registered copy of
  59.     the very latest version of PmCat PLUS.

  61.         The Coalgate BBS is currently only at 1200 baud, but should be up to
  62.     speed at 9600 baud on a USR HST 9600 modem by its official opening date of
  63.     1 Feb, 1990.

  65.         Anyone, registered or not, can access the Coalgate BBS and download
  66.     files on their first visit.  The design of the BBS software prohibits
  67.     public messages till after validation (which *can* be done on your first
  68.     call if I happen to be in the neighborhood).

  70.         The $25 registration fee will be honored as promised in version 5.0,
  71.     in this, and all succeeding versions.

  73.         This new arrangement makes $15 the preferred registration fee. I
  74.     certainly hope it meets with your approval.

  76.         Additionally, the Coalgate BBS will serve as a similar home base for
  77.     Gil Yoder's programs, SCRIPTURE, WINDIR, ML, MLX and others which are in
  78.     the works.
